7.8 Example - Setting the Downlink Gain
Below is an example of setting the BDA Downlink Gain. Setting for other parameters can be done
in a similar fashion.
1. From Master Status press SELECT to get to the Field Settings Menu. The controller will
ask for the password if the field password was not 0000 (disabled). Use the ADJUST
button to select a digit and presses the SELECT button to enter that digit and move to the
next digit. The controller will display the Field Settings Main Menu once all three digits
were entered correctly.
2. Press SELECT to get into Field Settings submenu, displaying the first entry: “Uplink Gain”
.
3. Use the ADJUST the " button to scroll up to “Downlink Gain”.
4. Press SELECT to edit this parameter.
5. Use ADJUST " # to change the “Downlink Gain” to the desired x dB value. Then
press SELECT to SAVE the change, or press the Exit button to exit edit mode without
changing the Downlink Gain value.
When all adjustments are completed in the Field Settings submenu, use EXIT to go back to the Field
Settings Main Menu and then Master Menu.
