ESPAÑOL BÁSICAMENTE Los aparatos PowerSpot son generadores eléctricos portátiles de baja potencia alimentados por combustión externa, refrigerados por agua o aire, y prácticamente libres de mantenimiento y averías.
POWERSPOT LANYARD De dimensiones mínimas, para cargar e iluminar, sin piezas de repuesto ni mantenimiento. El Lanyard es un aparato especialmente robusto y compacto que puede generar una corriente eléctrica de 10 a 20W (según versión), lo que es suficiente para cargar cualquier teléfono o tablet; que puede nutrir pilas recargables; que alimenta hasta diez bombillas LED conectadas en paralelo (especialmente las proporcionadas por PowerSpot, ajustadas a las capacidades de este aparato).
El Lanyard existe en las versiones Lanyard Basic, Lanyard+ y Lanyard Extended. El Lanyard+ rinde 20W y, siendo de idénticas dimensiones que el anterior, proporciona el doble de potencia que éste, permitiendo obtener el doble de rendimiento con la misma llama, iluminar el doble de bombillas o cargar teléfonos y tablets más deprisa y con menor consumo de combustible. Esta versión permite también utilizar pequeños electrodomésticos tales como enfriadores de bebidas, ventiladores, radios portátiles, etc.
DIRIGIDO A: Necesidades puntuales de gestión personal de la energía. El Lanyard no tiene paragón en el mundo como generador eléctrico personal: Permite obtener electricidad siempre, en cualquier momento y lugar, con cualquier combustible, cabiendo en un bolsillo o mochila y con total ausencia de averías. Por lo tanto, está dirigido a necesidades tanto de ocio como logísticas y militares. Su uso como cargador de teléfonos y aparatos electrónicos en lugares aislados es insustituible.
INSTRUCCIONES DE USO 1. Verter un líquido no inflamable ni tóxico en su interior, preferiblemente agua, aunque no es necesario que sea potable. 2. Colocar el aparato sobre una llama. Basta un pequeño fuego como el proporcionado por un pequeño quemador de alcohol o queroseno, aunque su mejor rendimiento se obtiene con quemadores de gas. 3. Esperar alrededor de dos minutos. Para móviles y pilas recargables, este tiempo será suficiente para que el Lanyard haya alcanzado el voltaje necesario.
APLICACIONES A. Móviles, tablets y pilas recargables: Se ha de enchufar el pequeño convertidor USB a la toma de 12V hembra del aparato. Lanyard Basic carga sin problemas desde pequeños teléfonos portátiles y pilas recargables hasta mini-tablets. El Lanyard+ es capaz de cargar varios de éstos simultáneamente, así como tablets grandes. (Quizá sea necesario utilizar un multipuerto USB de los existentes en el mercado). El tiempo de carga es idéntico al que se obtiene de una toma eléctrica doméstica. B.
PRECAUCIONES A. Nunca dejar secar el aparato cuando esté sobre el fuego. La etiqueta termolábil del interior indicará cuándo esto ha ocurrido. B. Nunca desatornillar los tornillos de la base. Las placas termoeléctricas alojadas en su interior se deteriorarán irreversiblemente. C. Nunca sumergir. Aunque la base es estanca, la junta puede sufrir roturas al estar sometida a altas temperaturas y permitir el paso del agua, que estropeará los componentes electrónicos. D.
SUGERENCIAS Lanyard puede funcionar colocado sobre superficies calientes como una barbacoa, una plancha caliente, una estufa o una placa vitrocerámica. De hecho, se requiere menos calor que con una llama directa ya que éste llegará muy disipado calentando muy regularmente toda la base del aparato. Lanyard provee un punto de luz a 9W (unos 800 lúmenes) pero puede iluminar con una discreta potencia hasta diez puntos, lo que suele ser suficiente para una vivienda aislada.

ENGLISH BASICALLY PowerSpot devices are portable low power electric generators fed by external combustion, cooled by water or air, and practically maintenance and failure free.
POWERSPOT LANYARD Lanyard is a small electric generator able to power and charge several devices, that will not need any replacement parts or maintenance.
80 hours of normal use (e.g. charging a smartphone or batteries). There are three versions of Lanyard: Lanyard Basic, Lanyard+ and Lanyard Extended. Lanyard Basic yields 10W , being able to charge smartphones, minitablets and batteries, in addition to activate 100% a PowerSpot ‘Water’ LED bulb, with the light output equivalent to a 80W incandescent bulb, (although you can power ten of these at various points).
ADDRESSED TO: Punctual needs of personal power supply. Lanyard has no comparison in the world as a personal power generator: It allows you to obtain power at any time, any place, with any combustible and it is small enough to fit in a pocket or rucksack and it is also totally failure free. Therefore, it is addressed to the necessities of leisure as well as logistics and military needs. Its use as a phone and small appliance charger in isolated locations is irreplaceable.
INSTRUCTIONS OF USE 1. Pour the non-flammable and non-toxic liquid in its interior (Preferably water, although it can be non-potable water). 2. Place the device over a flame. Although a small flame from an alcohol or kerosene burner is enough, it will perform better if the flame comes from a gas burner. In any case, make sure it does not surpass the edges of the recipient.
APPLICATIONS A. Mobile phones, tablets and rechargeable batteries: A small USB converter must be connected to the device 12V outlet. Lanyard Basic will charge with no problems from small mobile phones to rechargeable batteries and small tablets. Lanyard+ can charge several devices simultaneously, as well as big tablets. (Maybe a conventional USB hub will be necessary). The kind of charge is identical to the one taken from a usual domestic electric socket. B.
PRECAUTIONS D. Never leave the device to dry out when it is over a flame. The thermolabile label inside will indicate if this occurs. E. Never unscrew the screws on the base. The thermoelectric plates located inside will irreversibly be damaged. F. Never immerse the device in water. Although the base is airtight, the joint could suffer fracture when being submitted to high temperatures and allow the filtering of water, which will damage the electrical components. G.
SUGGESTIONS Lanyard can work placed over hot surfaces such as a barbecue, a hot plate, a heater and a victroceramic hob. In fact, it requires less heat than a direct flame because these will dissipate heating regularly on the base of the device. If placed over a stove it can charge mobiles, as long as the temperature of the surface reaches 120oC. However, given that each heater is different, it is necessary to test its capacity to activate the Lanyard in situ.
