English ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS ATTACHING THE GARDEN GUARD & FRONT HANDLE (FIG 6, 7) 6 12 FIG 6 FIG 7 To install the garden guard (12), expand the wire opening and fit it onto the groove on the trimmer head as shown in FIG 6. To install the front handle (6), press two buttons with your fingers and hold, Install the front handle onto the button base as shown in FIG 7. ADJUSTING THE FRONT HANDLE (FIG 8) The front handle can be adjusted up and down in 5 positions. See FIG 8.
English Operation STARTING AND STOPPING THE TRIMMER To Start the Trimmer, press the lock-off button (3-FIG1) and squeeze the trigger switch (2-FIG1). To Stop the Trimmer, release the trigger switch. CAUTION: Always allow a few seconds for the cutting line spool to stop rotating after releasing the trigger switch. Do not invert the trimmer/edger or place your hands under the guard until the trimmer/edger spool has come to a complete stop. CUTTING LINE AND FEEDING (FIG 11) This trimmer uses .065" (1.
English Operation CUTTING TIPS (FIG 12) • Keep the trimmer tilted toward the area being cut; this is the best cutting area. FIG 12 • The trimmer cuts when passing the unit from left to right. This will avoid throwing debris at the operator. • Avoid cutting in the dangerous area shown in FIG 12. • Use the tip of the line to do the cutting; do not force string head into uncut grass. DANGERIOUS CUTTING AREA • Wire and picket fences cause extra line wear, even breakage.
English Operation NOTE: It takes approximately 60 minutes to charge up a completely discharged battery. The battery pack has a power indicator showing how much battery power remains. Push the power indicator button to check. Each green light indicates 25% of the battery power. Four green lights indicate the battery is 100% full. MAINTENANCE CLEANING Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts.
