transmission fluid for operation below 40°F.

Warning: Lifting the log splitter is a two person operation. Once raised, make sure the log splitter is
stable before performing any maintenance.
1. Make sure the bleed screw (H) is closed.
2. Lift up on the handle of the log splitter. Make sure the splitter
is resting securely and will not fall.
3. Use the hex wrench to loosen the fluid drain bolt (I).
4. Pull out the bolt with attached dipstick.
5. Wipe the fluid off the dipstick.
6. Put the dipstick back in the fluid tank and then pull it out
again.
7. Check the fluid level. It should be between the two notches (J)
near the end of the dipstick.
8. Add fluid, if needed.
9. Replace the dipstick and tighten the fluid drain bolt.
