8 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Make sure all fasteners (screws, nuts, ect.) are always fully tightened so that you can work
safely with the mower.
Check the grass box for wear and tear at regular intervals.
Replace any worn or damaged parts.
Regular care of your lawnmower will not only increase its service life but will also facilitate
the meticulous and easy mowing of your lawn.
Clean the lawnmower with brushes or cloths. Do not use any solvents or water to remove
dirt.
Always switch off the motor and pull out the power plug before carrying out any
maintenance and cleaning work.
The part most susceptible to wear and tear in the machine is the blade. Check the
condition of the blade and its fastener at regular intervals. If the blade is worn, it must be
replaced or sharpened. If the mower vibrates excessively, this means that the blade is
either not balanced correctly or has been bent out of shape by knocks, in which case it
must be repaired or replaced.
8.1 The blade
Always disconnect the power plug and check on the run-on display that the motor is off
before you inspect the blade. Remember that the blade will continue to rotate for a few
seconds even after the motor has been switched off. Never try to stop the blade. Make
sure at regular intervals that the blade is securely attached, in good condition and sharp.
Sharpen or replacement as and when necessary.
If the blade strikes an object while mowing, stop the lawnmower and wait until the blade
has come to a standstill. Then check the condition of the blade and the blade fixing screw.
If these have been damaged or loose, they must be replaced immediately.
8.2 Replacing the blade
Wear safety gloves for this job !
Warning ! Always disconnect the power plug and check on the run

display that the motor is off before you inspect the blade.
Loosen the plastic nut by turning anti-clockwise with a 35mm wrench, pull out the blade
and replace with a new one, making sure the direction of installation is correct (Fig.9).
Tighten the plastic nut of fixing screw by turning clockwise.
At the end of the season, perform a general inspection of your lawnmower and remove
any grass and dirt which may have accumulated.
At the start of each season, check the condition of the blade, the connection cable and all
electrical connections.
If repairs are necessary, please contact one of our customer service centers.
Use only original spare parts for maintenance work.
8.3 Storage
Always clean your mower before storage. Store your mower in a clean, dry environment.
To avoid mould on remaining contents, make sure the grass collect bag is empty and dry.
You can fold the handle to save space, loosen the 2 clamps on each side of the handle and
bend the upper handle part towards the front of the machine.
Long time storage : apply some environmentally friendly oil on the mower blade to prevent it
from rusting.
