5 OPERATION
5.1 Connect to power supply.
Connect the male plug of the cable to the mains power supply (230V – 50Hz).
Ensure that sufficient cable slack is available.
5.2 Mowing the lawn
Mowing the lawn is important to maintain the thickness and the resilience of the grass.
Mow your lawn regularly once a week, always set to the same cutting length (season:
March through to September). The recommended cutting length is between 3.5 cm
(minimum) and 5 cm (maximum). Once the grass has grown higher than 8 cm we
recommend mowing the lawn in stages.
To further care for your lawn, use a special fertiliser and cut your lawn vertically at least
once a year in spring.
Select a cutting length which is suitable for the actual length of the grass. Cut several
times so that a maximum 4 cm of grass is cut at any one time.
Be sure to avoid lanes which might impair the free movement of the extension cord (% 7).
Empty the grass bin (depending on the model either a grass box or a grass bag) as soon
as it is full. This helps avoid clogging of the ejection mouth (fig. 8).
Be sure not to pass the mower over already cut grass left lying. This helps avoid clogging
of the ejection mouth and prevents unnecessary stress on the motor.
