§ Shake the generator several times to make the float rise if the generator cannot start after
adding oil for the first time and the oil alarm indicator stays on when pulling the starting
grip.
§ Make sure there is no spilled fuel around the spark plug. Spilled fuel may ignite.
§ If the engine still doesn’t start, have the generator repaired by a licensed repair person.
Inspection:
§ Remove the spark plug rubber boot and clean any dirt from around the spark plug.
§ Remove the spark plug and place it in the spark plug rubber boot.
§ Connect the side electrode of the spark plug to the metal parts of the engine.
§ Pull the starting cord. A spark could jump across the gap.
