How to Solve
The Heating Plate is
NOT hot.
Indicator light on
appliance DOES NOT
illuminate.
The appliance is NOT
plugged in.
Plug the appliance into the
electric mains and switch it on.
Press the Selector Button
downwards.
Household power circuit
has blown.
Check the household circuit
breaker for any tripped wires.
Call for a qualified electrician.
Fuse on appliance has
blown.
Send the appliance to the
authorised service centre for
checks.
The Heating Plate is
NOT hot.
Indicator light on
appliance illuminates.
Wires connecting the
Heating Plate are
loosened.
Send the appliance to the
authorised service centre for
checks.
Electric Thermal-tube is
burnt out.
The Heating Plate is
hot, but either the rice
fails to cook properly
or the duration to
properly cook the rice
is too long
Indicator light on
appliance illuminates.
Duration of cooking is
insufficient.
Lengthen the duration of
cooking in proportion to the
amount of rice being cooked.
Grains of rice or other
organic materials stuck
to the surface of the
Heating Plate.
Use fine sandpaper and gently
rub down the surface. Use a
wet washcloth to remove any
remaining food particles
The Inner Pot or Heating
Plate is deformed.
Send the appliance to the
authorised service centre for
replacement.
The Inner Pot contains
insufficient amount of
water.
Refill the Inner Pot with water.
The Heating Plate is
fairly hot, but the rice
fails to cook properly.
