CIRCUIT
BREAKER
PROTECTION:
Power Interruption
1. When the current exceeds 300 DC amps
or
there Is a short circuit between the
battery and the PDIS300, the red lever will automatically flip open and cut
off
the
power supply. After determining the cause and correcting the condition that
caused the PDISB300
to
open the circuit, the red lever can
be
pressed back to
its original position
to
reset the PDISB300 and
tum
the power back on.
NOTE: Make sure the power inverter or any other electronic component connected
to the PDISB300 Is turned off before resetting the red power lever.
2.
Manual power off: If you need
to
disconnect power from a device for servicing
press the red button, this will release the lever and turn off the power.
NOTE:
DO
NOT attempt
to
manually flip the red lever
to
turn off the power, doing so
will damage the mechanism,
it
will
no
longer work and will need to
be
replaced.
NOTE: Make sure the power Inverter
or
any other electronic component connected
to
the PDISB300
is
turned off before resetting the red power lever.
WARNING: When the circuit breaker is tripped
to
the off position, either due
to
an
Incident
or
manually turned off, power is still present
at
the incoming end
of
the
PDISB300 and typical respect for dangerous electricity should be given.
INSTALLATION:
1 Select a location for the PDISB300 that is out
of
the weather and keep it away
from flammable fumes
or
fuel tanks.
NOTE: The PDISB300 was designed
to
withstand the weather but a location
where
it
Is
not
continuously exposed
to
wet conditions is best.
2 Run the proper size cable from the positive connection
of
the Inverter
to
one
side
of
the PDISB300. Take precautions to protect the cable from damage.
Cable must
be
one continuous run and
not
two pieces
of
cable spliced together.
3 Connect the proper size cable
to
the other side
of
the PDISB300.
4 Ensure the PDISB300 is In the "OFF" position.
NOTE: See
#2
"Manual Power Off' above.
5 Connect the cable to the battery. Cable must
be
one continuous run and not
two
pieces
of
cable spliced together.
NOTE: When connecting
to
a bank
of
batteries that are connected in parallel,
connect the positive cable
to
one end
of
the bank and the negative to the
oppos
ite
side
of
the bank. This will Improve the performance
of
the inverter
by
drawing
power across all the batteries, instead
of
from one battery with some spill over from
the others
in
the bank.
