Using Hard Disk ToolKit• PE
This chapter assumes that external SCSI devices have been installed
according to their manufacturers’ instructions.
If you are a new user to this version of Hard Disk ToolKit• PE , then we rec-
ommend that you read Chapter 3, An Overview of Hard Disk Tool-
Kit•PE ,” before proceeding with this chapter. For more detail on using
Hard Disk ToolKit•PE, see the online manual.
HDT• PE is a powerful application that formats and partitions SCSI and IDE storage devices.
Back up all valuable data before using HDT• PE .
Starting Hard Disk ToolKit• Personal Edition
To start Hard Disk ToolKit• PE , double-click the Hard Disk ToolKit• PE
icon. The HDT• PE Selector window appears (Figure 7.5).
