Removing the Floppy Disk Drive
5. Remove the front bezel (refer to Front Bezel Removal/Installation on page 8).
6. Place the computer on its side with the MLB on the bottom and the open side facing up.
7. Unscrew the two screws on the front of the computer located on either side of the floppy disk drive
faceplate. Pull the entire floppy disk drive bay toward the rear of the computer until it disengages.
Disconnect the components located in the floppy disk drive bay and lay them aside. (
see Figure 10:
Front bay installation on page 24).
8. Once removed from the slides, angle the bay out of the machine.
9. Remove the four screws, located in pairs, on the either side of the drive.
10. Slide the drive out of the bay.
