WALSH CONSTRUCTION
COLD WEATHER CONCRETING
Walsh Construcon purchased eight Powerblanket 6x25
(1.8mx7.6m) and eight 3x25 (0.9m x 7.6m) mul-duty heang
blankets to use during a winter construcon project on an Illinois
waterway. Aer calculang the savings in fuel, personnel to
monitor the open ame, personnel and me to build and move
enclosed shelters, and the heaters themselves, Walsh Construcon
realized it saved more than $5.43 for every $1.00 spent on the
Powerblanket concrete heang blankets.
Even beer, the workers on the site found the blankets much easier
to work with. In fact, Vern Adkins, Carpenter Foreman with Walsh
Construcon, said this was the best heang/curing system he has
worked with.
