WALSH CONSTRUCTION
COLD WEATHER CONCRETING
Walsh Construcon purchased eight Powerblanket 6x25 
(1.8mx7.6m) and eight 3x25  (0.9m x 7.6m) mul-duty heang
blankets to use during a winter construcon project on an Illinois
waterway. Aer calculang the savings in fuel, personnel to
monitor the open ame, personnel and me to build and move
enclosed shelters, and the heaters themselves, Walsh Construcon
realized it saved more than $5.43 for every $1.00 spent on the
Powerblanket concrete heang blankets.
Even beer, the workers on the site found the blankets much easier
to work with. In fact, Vern Adkins, Carpenter Foreman with Walsh
Construcon, said this was the best heang/curing system he has
worked with.
