MOFO Type S subwoofers are engineered to offer all the reliable performance qualities you
expect of the original MOFO. Of course a new generation MOFO wouldn’t be without including
the proven benets and characteristics of the original; aluminum alloy voice coil heatsink dust cap,
2.5” dual voice coil, dual damper suspension, high density reinforced paper cone, etc. Everything you
expect from MOFO. What makes Type S MOFO different than the original? One of the two mods to
Type S should be easy to spot. Type S uses formed steel framework, while the original uses a more
expensive aluminum frame to support its overcompensating motor structure. The second mod to
Type S is a motor structure that’s been optimized for an efcient use of its magnetic strength.
Strategically targeting all the motor structures power gives Type S MOFO the dynamic sound &
performance qualities of its big brother, without the need of unnecessarily massive magnets.
These improvements to MOFO Type S reduces material cost while maintaining the design
& performance characteristics you want of the original.
