SAFETY INFORMATION DANGER • DO NOT connect the bare or green insulation fixture ground wire to the black (HOT) current-carrying wire or the white (NEUTRAL) house wire. Connection of the bare or green fixture ground wire to the black or white house wires may cause metal parts of the fixture to carry electrical currents. Under this condition anyone coming in contact with the fixture will receive electrical shock, which could cause serious injury or death.

PREPARATION Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 3. Unwrap BARE wire (on mounting strap (C)) from BLACK and WHITE fixture wires. 3 BARE wire C Remove mounting strap (C) from fixture (A) by removing mounting strap screws (D) from the edges of the fixture (A). D D Save mounting strap screws (D) for later use. A 4. Attach mounting strap (C) to outlet box (not included) using the existing washers and outlet box screws or the machine screws (BB).

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 6. You may need to cut the excess wire to simplify the wiring. You will need at least 10 in. of wire to work with. 6 10 in. Prepare wire by stripping 3/4 in. of insulation from wire ends using wire strippers (not included). Tie wire into a knot. A A 7. Connect BARE/GREEN ground wire from outlet box to BARE wire on mounting strap (C) using wire connector (AA). Connect one of the wires from fixture (A) to WHITE wire from outlet box using wire connector (AA).

Wrap electrical tape (not included) around each individual wire connector (AA) down to the wire. 8 Outlet Box WARNING: Make sure no bare wire or wire strands are visible after making connections. AA AA AA 9 9. Carefully arrange excess wiring and wire connectors (AA) within canopy. Outlet Box Align holes in edge of canopy with screw holes at ends of mounting strap (C). Secure fixture (A) with mounting strap screws (D) that were previously removed (Step 3, page 5).

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 11. Install one standard-base bulb (not included). Use a 60-watt max. incandescent bulb or a CFL/LED equivalent. 11 A CAUTION: When replacing bulb, please allow bulb and glass shade to cool down before touching. Restore power and test fixture (A). If light does not function, please refer to TROUBLESHOOTING below. Bulb [representative only] CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Shut off main power supply. Wipe fixture with soft, damp cloth. Use window cleaner to clean glass.
