SAFETY INFORMATION Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product. • Make sure all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, the National Electrical Code and ANSI/NFPA 70-199. Hire a qualified electrician or consult a do-it-yourself wiring handbook if you are unfamiliar with installing electrical wiring. • This product is for outdoor use only. • This product is to be connected to a 120-volt, 60Hz power source.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Important: Before you begin this procedure and dig the necessary holes required to install the item, consult your local electrical codes. 1. Dig a hole 12 in. to 15 in. in diameter and 18 in. in depth, allowing extra depth for added gravel (not included). Save some of the soil for later. Shovel several inches of gravel in the bottom of the hole for drainage purposes. Then dig a trench to the required depth from the post hole to the power source. 1 12 - 15 in. Trench 18 in. 2.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 4. Remove the decorative ball (C) from one end of the crossbar (B). Insert the crossbar (B) through both 3/4 in. diameter holes in the lantern post (A). Re-attach the decorative balls (C) and position the crossbar (B) as desired. 4 C A B 5. Route the wires from the light fixture (not included) down through the hole in the top of the lantern post (A) and out through the same hole through which the supply wires were fed. Label the light fixture wires with the word “light”.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 7. Route the wires from the convenience outlet (H) through the empty hole and out the hole with the supply and lantern wires. 7 H 8. Connect with supply, light fixture, convenience outlet (H) and male connector (F) wires according to the diagram and these steps: a. Connect the Green wire from the convenience outlet (H) to the Green/Bare power supply wire and the Green/Bare wire from the light fixture using a wire connector (CC). b.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 10. Gently push the wires and wire connectors (CC) into the pole. 10 Hardware Used BB Wire Connector x4 Light Fixture 11. Secure the convenience outlet (H) to the lantern post (A) using the self-tapping screws (BB) and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver (not included). 11 BB Hardware Used BB Self-Tapping Screw H x2 12. Secure the photo eye (D) to the lantern post (A) using the mounting screws (AA) and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 13. Once the lantern post (A) is completely assembled, secure the lantern post (A) into the hole with concrete (not included). Note: Ensure the bottom of the lantern post (A) is embedded in the gravel and is level before pouring the concrete up to just below the inlet hole. DO NOT pour concrete up to the ground level. 4 13 A Continue to hold the lantern post (A) stable until the concrete hardens, then fill the hole and trench with soil or sod (not included) to the ground level.
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY The manufacturer warrants all of its lighting fixtures against defects in materials and workmanship for three (3) years from the date of purchase. If within this period the product is found to be defective, take a copy of the bill of sale as a proof of purchase and the product in its original carton to the place of purchase. The manufacturer will, at its option, repair, replace or refund the purchase price to the consumer.
