2.5 Hazard Identification H220 Extremely Flammable Gas
(Butane Gas Only)
2.6 Precautionary Statement P210 Keep away from Heat/Sparks/Open Flames/Hot Surfaces/
(Butane Gas Only) No Smoking.
3. COMPOSITION / INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS
3.1 Iron/Kit Nylon Plastic, Brass, Mild & Stainless steel, Metal catalyst, Iron &
Nickel plating.
3.2 Chemical Compostion: Blend of hydrocarbons consisting primarily of propane,
(Butane Gas) iso- butane and n-butane. (refer to Butane suppliers SDS)
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
4.1 Eye Contact: Flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
(Butane Gas) Hold eyelids apart while flushing to rinse entire surfaces of eye and
lids with water. Get immediate medical attention.
4.2 Skin Contact: In case of hot burns, place the affected area in cold water.
Get immediate medical attention.
(Butane Gas) In case of cold burns, immediately place affected area in tepid to
warm water and keep immersed until circulation returns.
4.3 Inhalation of Butane: Remove patient immediately to uncontaminated area.
(Gas vapours or fumes) Keep warm and at rest. If breathing has stopped or shows signs of
failing, commence artificial respiration. Get immediate medical
attention.
4.4 Ingestion: No emergency care anticipated, since product is a gas under normal
(Butane Gas) conditions.
Servere inhalation/over exposure may sensitize the heart to
catecholamine-induced arrhythmias. Do NOT administer
catecholamine’s to an over exposed person. Never make an
unconscious person vomit or drink fluids. Do not induce vomiting
and seek medical advice.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
5.1 Special fire/explosion: Can form explosive mixtures with air.
Hazard (Butane Gas)
5.2 Products of Combustion: Oxides of carbon.
(Butane Gas)
5.3 Fire fighting procedures/ Dry powder only.
Extinguishing media Keep hot iron away from combustible materials.
