induce vomiting. Treat symptomatically and supportively.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Extinguish with large amounts of water. Do not use dry chemicals, carbon dioxide or halogenated agents.
FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: Firefighters should wear full protective clothing and SCBA when potential for exposure to products of combusion
exists. Use large amounts of water. Small quantities of water with large quantities of hot product may lead to fire or explosion. Do not use
CO2, dry chemical, foam or halon.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Decomposes at 225 Deg C. Keep inflammable materials away from product. Highly reactive
oxidizing materials may result in fire.
COMMENTS: The product is not combustible, however it promotes fire. Containers close to fire should be transferred to a safe place. Heat
causes increase in pressure and risk of bursting. Collect contaminated firefighting water separately. Do not discharge into drains.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
SMALL SPILL: Sweep up spill with a dry broom and contain. Do not allow material to sit on ground and become moist. Do not contaminate
with water, organics or nitrogen compounds.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
WATER SPILL: Do not discharge into drains or waterways.
AIR SPILL: Vapors may be surpressed by the use of water fog.
COMMENTS: CAUTION. DO NOT allow this material to become damp/wet or contaminated in the container, as gas formation may occur
which can trigger an explosion of the container.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
GENERAL PROCEDURES: Use with adequate ventilation.
HANDLING: Keep away from heat, sparks and flame.
STORAGE: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, well-ventilated area. Containers which are opened must be carefully resealed and kept
upright. Do not get water inside container. Exothermal reactions may result with the liberation of toxic fumes.
STORAGE TEMPERATURE: Do not store at temperatures above 140°F.
COMMENTS: Do not store together with:
Organic materials, combustible materials, ammonia, ammonium compounds, alkalies, oxidizing agents, reducing agents, acids.
