Calibration
Calibration of Pomona model 6086 is recommended annually. Calibration should be performed to ensure that the
tester is operating within limits. The calibration may be checked with discrete resistors.

To calibrate, simply place each resistance value (see table) between the touch plate and banana grounds. Observe
that the proper test display LED is on (see table) for the selected resistor. Be sure to hold the test cord at an insulated
point, so the resistance value is not affected by the body. There are no adjustments inside.
