4. If you cut off P1, re-terminate the cable with an RJ-45 8-pin plug using the
following tables, then continue with step 5.
5. Create a custom pin-out cable using shielded CAT5 cable. The cable is
terminated on one end to either a shielded CAT5 keystone jack or, if
using a shielded panel coupler, a shielded RJ-45 plug connector. The
other end terminates to a shielded RJ-45 plug that connects to the
Polycom HDX system.

The Polycom RJ-45 connector pinout is custom. For best performance, follow the
wiring tables shown in this document. If standard Ethernet cables are used, signal
integrity cannot be guaranteed and degraded performance may occur, especially at
longer lengths.
