P R E PA R AT I O N F O R U S E 1a. Raise the safety cap cover (5a). Unscrew the safety cap (5) while pressing it down (fig.1). Fill the boiler with 0.8 l water using the funnel provided (9), being careful not to let it overflow . Water by its nature contains magnesium, mineral salts and other deposits which in hard water areas can contribute to limescale build up in the boiler. To avoid these problems, it is necessary to swill out with tapwater and empty the boiler after every 3 or 4 uses.
