• Open the lid on the dirt container (5) and
remove the tank cap (7) (fig.1).
• Fill the tank with about 1.3 l of water using
the bottle provided (U).
Normal tapwater can be used. Hard water
by its nature contains limestone, which
may cause build-up of limescale in the
tank. In hard water areas we recommend
with every 3 or 4 uses you add in the tank
our natural decalcifier KALSTOP, available
from Polti dealers and by mail order from
the Authorised Service Centre.
• Put the tank cap (7) back in place.
• Remove the dirt container (20) from the
appliance, using the handle (19) (fig.2).
• Turn the water filter unit handle (22) as
shown in figure 3 so that you can remove
the “Eco ActiveFilter” water filter unit (23).
• Fill the dirt container (20) with about 400
cc of ordinary tap water so that the MAX
level mark (21) is covered as shown in
fig.4.
• Put the filter unit (23) back in the dirt con-
tainer (20) in its original position.
• Put the dirt container back, performing the
above operations in reverse order.
• Close the lid on the dirt container (5).
