Auto Mode
Use this mode for general picture taking.
1. Turn the Mode Dial to
.
2. Frame your subject using the viewnder or LCD screen.
3. Align the auto focus frame or the viewnder optical centre on the
subject you want to capture. Press the Shutter button halfway to set
the exposure and focus.
NOTE:
The
icon will appear when the shutter speed is slow, which reminds you
of holding the camera steady or use a tripod.
The Auto-Focus LED blinks in green or the Auto-Focus frame appears red if
there is difculty in focusing the subject. If this happens, release your nger,
recompose the scene and press the Shutter button halfway to reset the
focus.
When the Auto-Focus LED lights up green, it indicates the camera is ready to
capture images.
When the ash is used for shooting in low lighting conditions, the camera
cannot set an auto focus but switches to a xed focus. The focus range is at
3 - 10 ft (1 - 3 m) in wide angle and 4.2 - 5.5 ft (1.3 - 1.7 m) in telephoto.
4. The Auto-Focus LED remains steady on, indicating the camera focus is
locked on the subject. Press the Shutter button completely down to take
a picture, holding the camera steady.
The picture just taken will be shown on the LCD screen for 2 or 5 seconds.

The Auto-Focus LED blinks, indicating the camera is saving the picture just
taken to the memory card. You can take the next picture only when the
Auto-Focus LED stops blinking.
