Operation
The product must not be used or mounted in or under
water.
Do not use the product when it is still in the packaging.
The LEDs are not dimmable and cannot be replaced.
Before using the lamp for the first time, leave it to charge in
the sun for approximately 8 hours. The battery will last for
approximately 8 hours after a full charge.
1. To turn on the product, move the on/o switch on the
battery compartment to the ON
position.
The LEDs turn on
automatically when the ambient brightness is low and turn
o again during sunlight hours. If the ambient brightness is
sucient, the rechargeable battery will be recharged via the
solar module.
2. Place the lamp in a location with good access to sunlight so
that the solar cell can charge the battery during the day. The
solar cell should not be covered or placed in the shade (e.g.
from trees or buildings).
3. To turn o the product, move the on/o switch on the battery
compartment to the OFF
position. Switch o the solar
decoration when not using it for a longer period of time.
When at this switch position, the rechargeable battery will
not be charged.
Important notes
The power of the solar panel varies according to the time
of year and depends on the duration and strength of the
sunlight. Long periods without sucient sunlight (especially
in winter) may lead to a shorter battery life (the rechargeable
battery stores less energy during the day than it consumes at
night). This may damage the battery as a result of it becoming
completely discharged. To avoid damaging the battery, turn the
lamp o during extended periods without sucient sunlight.
Keep the glass clean. Dust and dirt reduce the eciency of the
solar panel, resulting in a lower charging current.
During poor weather, you can remove the battery and charge it
with a suitable battery charger. Always follow the instructions in
this manual when removing/replacing the battery.
Replacing the battery
Replace the battery when you notice a significant drop in the
battery life despite sucient charging.
Ensure that the on/o switch is set to the OFF position before
opening the battery compartment.
Remove the battery compartment cover and seal by loosening
the screws with a small Phillips screwdriver.
Insert a new battery of the correct size and type (see "Technical
Data") into the battery compartment. Ensure that the battery is
inserted in the correct polarity ("+" = positive; "-" = negative).
Replace the battery compartment cover and seal and tighten
the screws.
Care and cleaning
Before cleaning the product, turn o the lamp and let it cool
down suciently.
Use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. To remove
stubborn dirt, moisten the cloth slightly with lukewarm water.
Let the product dry out completely before using it again.
