Mounting and connection
a) Connecting the LED strip, control unit and mains adapter
Connect the two-pin plug (4) on the control unit to the socket (2) on the mains adapter. Tighten the union
nut (3) in a clockwise direction to prevent moisture from penetrating the screw connection. Moisture that
penetrates the screw connection may corrode the connecting contacts.
Connect the four-pin plug (6) on the LED strip to the output (8) on the control unit. Ensure that the plug is
inserted in the correct orientation (the small pin inside the plug must be inserted into the slot in the socket).
Tighten the union nut (7) to prevent moisture from penetrating the screw connection.
b) Mounting the control unit
Before installation, ensure that the IR receiver (12) on the control unit is placed in the correct
position to ensure optimal reception from the IR remote control (direct line of sight between the
IR transmitter (15) and IR receiver).
Install the control unit (11) away from bright lights or direct sunlight, otherwise the IR transmitter
may not work properly. If the ambient light is too bright, you may not be able to operate the
control unit, or the range will be greatly reduced.
Depending on where you install the control unit, it may help to protect the top and sides of the
control unit with a cover to ensure that the IR receiver works correctly in bright conditions.
Before mounting the control unit/IR receiver, check that the control unit is working correctly.
Use the two xing lugs (10) to screw the control unit in place (screws not included). Depending on the
installation location, you can also use cable ties or double-sided adhesive tape.
When you screw the control unit into place, make sure that no cables or pipes are damaged
when drilling and tightening the screws.
Mount the IR receiver in a suitable place, e.g. by using a strip of adhesive tape or a cable tie.
c) Mounting the LED strip
There are several ways to mount the LED strip:
- With the strip holders (14) and screws (13).
- With suitable cable ties (not included).
When you screw the strip holders into place, make sure that no cables or pipes are damaged
when drilling and tightening the screws.
The LED strip must be mounted in a position where it is not subjected to mechanical stress.
Do not mount it in a location where people may step on it, as this may damage the LED strip.
Never cut the LED strip.
d) Connecting the mains adapter
Follow the safety instructions in „c) Installation, connection and operation“
Connect the mains adapter (1) to a standard mains socket connected to the public grid.
IR touch remote control
The battery is already inserted into the remote control. Remove the protective plastic tab in the battery
compartment on the back of the remote control. The remote control is now ready for use.
a) Remote control functions
Point the IR transmitter (15) at the IR receiver (12) and press the corresponding button or dimming wheel.
ON button Turns the LED strip on.
OFF button Turns the LED strip off.
Dimming wheel Adjusts the brightness:
Blue area: Cold white light
Yellow panel: Warm-white light
BRI+ button Increases the brightness
BRI- button Decreases the brightness
CW button Selects the cold white light colour
WW button Selects the warm white light colour
Before selecting the light colour or dimming the LEDs, press the ON button to turn the LED strip
on.
b) Changing the remote control battery
Replace the battery if the range of the remote control drops, or the control unit no longer reacts
to the remote control.
Unscrew the clip on the battery compartment (17) (e.g. with a at-head screwdriver).
Remove the battery holder with the battery.
Replace the empty button cell with a new 3 V CR2025 button cell. Ensure that the battery is inserted in the
correct polarity (observe the plus/+ and minus/- symbols). The positive pole is marked with the “+” symbol
and must be inserted face down into the remote control.
Place the battery holder back into the remote control and ensure that it clicks into place. Ensure that the
battery holder is inserted in the correct orientation. Do not use any force!
Care and cleaning
Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it.
Do not use abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
casing or stop the product from functioning properly.
In addition, do not point water jets (e.g. from a high-pressure cleaner) at the LED strip, as this may damage
the seals.
Use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the LED strip. To remove stubborn dirt, moisten the cloth slightly
with lukewarm water.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the remote control.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste. Always
dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove the battery from the remote control (if inserted) and dispose of it separately.
b) Batteries
You are required by law to return all used batteries (Battery Directive). They must not be placed
in household waste.
Batteries that contain hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals in batteries are:
Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery, e.g. below the waste icon on
the left).
Used batteries can be returned to local collection points, our stores or battery retailers.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
