b) Electrical safety
• The mains socket that the device is plugged into must be easily accessible.
• Only power the product using the mains adapter provided.
• Only insert the mains adapter into a normal mains socket that is connected to the public grid.
Before plugging in the mains adapter, check whether the voltage stated on the mains adapter
complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
• Do not touch the mains adapter if there are any signs of damage, as this may cause a fatal
electric shock! Switch off the mains voltage to the socket containing the mains adapter (switch
off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, and then switch off at
the corresponding RCD protective switch). You can then unplug the mains adapter from the
mains socket. Dispose of the faulty mains adapter in an environmentally friendly manner and
discontinue use. Replace it with a mains adapter of the same design.
• Never connect or disconnect mains adapters if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the mains adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use
the grips on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are not pinched, kinked or damaged
by sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them, as this may
cause an injury.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket during storms.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply if you do not plan to use it for an extended
period.
c) Installation, connection and operation
• The product may be installed and used indoors and outdoors. However, it must not be
installed in or under water.
The IP44 mains adapter must be plugged into a suitable IP44-rated mains socket (e.g. IP44-
rated wall socket) when the product is used outdoors. If you use an extension cable, it must
be suitable for outdoor use. Make sure that the connection between the mains adapter and the
mains socket is never placed in or under water, e.g. in puddles or in areas where water may
accumulate during rain or ooding!
• The IR remote control is not waterproof or water-resistant. Do not allow it to get damp or wet!
• Only use the product in temperate climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical climates.
• Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment when using
the product in industrial facilities.
• Do not hang objects on the product or cover the product.
• Warning, LED light: Do not look directly at the LED light! Do not look into the beam directly or
with optical instruments!
• The LED light bulbs are rmly embedded and cannot be replaced.
• Keep the product away from inammable objects or materials while it is in use.
• The product must not be used in the packaging.
d) Battery (remote control)
• Ensure that the battery is inserted in the correct polarity.
• If you do not plan to use the remote control for an extended period, remove the battery to
prevent damage from battery leakage. Leaking or damaged batteries may cause acid burns
when they come into contact with skin. Always use protective gloves when handling damaged
batteries.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around, as they
constitute a choking hazard for children and pets.
• Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into re. Never charge non-
rechargeable batteries, as this may cause an explosion!

Intended use
The product is a decorative light designed for indoor and outdoor use. You can use the IR touch remote
control to select a warm or cool light colour and gradually dim the brightness. The LEDs on the LED strip are
controlled by a special unit which is powered by the IP44 mains adapter provided.
The LED strip and the mains adapter are splashproof and suitable for outdoor use (IP44).
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for
purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper use can cause
hazards such as a short circuit, re or electric shock. Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe
place. Only make this product available to third parties together with its operating instructions.

a) General information
• This product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Children do not
understand the hazards associated with the incorrect use of electrical devices. In addition,
this product contains small parts and batteries. Exercise particular caution when children are
present!
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly, as it may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, ammable gases,
vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent unauthorized
use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in adverse ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may
damage the product.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated may destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting it and putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product.
• Maintenance, modications and repairs must be done by a technician or a specialist repair
centre.
