b) Persons and product
• Never cover the product. The surface may get hot during use; covering the product
not only constitutes a re hazard but may also cause it to overheat, which could
damage the components.
• The light gets very hot. Allow it to cool down before touching it.
• Keep the product away from ammable materials and objects.
• Do not hang or secure any objects (e.g. decorations) to the product.
• In the event of any damage (particularly on the housing) that prevents the product
from being operated safely, turn off the power supply immediately and discontinue
use.
• Do not use the product without the transparent protective cover.
• Repairs must only be carried out by a technician using original replacement parts.
• Before connecting the light to the mains, make sure that your local AC mains
voltage matches the specications on the nameplate. Never try to operate the light
using another type of voltage, as this may destroy the product.
• In order to avoid the risk of re and prevent eye injuries, do not look directly at the
light source or point the light directly at people or animals!
• This product is designed according to protection class I; the earth wire must be
connected.
• The product has an IP44 weatherproof rating (rain and splashproof) and can be
mounted and operated both indoors and outdoors. However, never place the
product in or under water.
• Always ensure that the power supply is disconnected before mounting or carrying
out other work on the product.
• Ensure that you mount the light correctly (see "Mounting and connection" section),
otherwise there is a risk of a fatal electric shock!
• The product must only be used when it is mounted in a xed location. Never mount
the light in vehicles.
• Do not mount and use the product in rooms or in adverse environmental conditions
that contain or may contain ammable gases, vapours or dust! There is a risk of
explosion.
• Always comply with the accident prevention regulations for electrical equipment
when using the product in industrial facilities.
Preparation for mounting
Pay attention to the "Safety instructions" section.
Warning! This product must only be installed by a qualied electrician who is familiar
with the relevant regulations. By carrying out improper work on the mains voltage
you endanger not only yourself, but also others. If you are not sure how to mount the
product, consult an electrician. Do not attempt to mount it yourself.
• Mount the light so that children cannot reach it.
• Only mount the light on a stable surface. Depending on the surface, you may need to use the
screws and/or dowels provided.
• The lamp must be protected with a 10/16A fuse at the sub-distribution. An earth leakage
circuit breaker must be installed before this.
• To connect the LED exterior wall lamp to the mains, use a 3-wire mains cable with a
3 x 1 mm² cross-section.
• The lamp may only be installed when it is disconnected from the power supply. It is not
sufcient just to turn off the light switch!
• Isolate all poles of the mains cable from the mains supply by removing the electric circuit fuse
or switching off the automatic fuse. Then turn off the earth leakage circuit breaker. Protect the
product against unauthorised use (e.g. install a danger sign).
• Before mounting the product, always check that the power supply to which you will connect
the light is turned off! Use a suitable measuring device to ensure that the power supply is
isolated.

Intended use
This product is designed for use as an indoor and outdoor light. The light is IP44 certied and
can be mounted and operated both indoors and outdoors. The IP protection rating is only
guaranteed when the product is installed correctly. Using metal structures as live conductors
on buildings is not permitted for safety reasons. The product must be mounted in a position
that protects the light against moisture, dirt and excessive heat. The product is designed to be
mounted on a wall. The light is not dimmable.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using
the product for purposes other than those described above may damage the components. In
addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuits, re and electric shocks. Read
the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third
parties only together with its operating instructions.

a) General information
• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly, otherwise it may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, high humidity,
excessive moisture, ammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
• Always observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product.
• Maintenance, modications and repairs must be done by a technician or an
