Operation
Do not set up or operate the product under water.
Make sure that the cables hang loosely and are not
stretched too tightly. Failure to heed this warning may
cause the cables to tear.
Do not operate the product if it is still in its packaging.
Lay the product out entirely.
Do not hang any objects from the product and do not
cover the product.
The LEDs are neither dimmable nor replaceable.
1. Lay the product out entirely and arrange the cables so that
they lie freely and are not tangled.
2. Remove the cover of the battery box.
3. Insert two new AA batteries. We recommend using high-
quality batteries. Observe the correct polarity (“+” = positive,
“-“ = negative), as stated on the battery box.
4. Reattach the cover.
5. Mount the product in a suitable place (e.g. on furniture).
Where necessary use plastic cable ties to secure the product.
6. You can switch the product on/o by the on/o switch on
the battery box (ON = on; OFF = o).
7. If you are not using the product for an extended period,
switch it o and remove the batteries from the battery box.
A change of batteries is necessary if the LEDs of the light
chain are no longer coming on.
Care and cleaning
The product is maintenance-free, except for any change of
batteries and occasional cleaning.
Swtich o the product and remove the batteries before
cleaning and let the LEDs cool down completely.
To clean, use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt,
slightly dampen the cloth with water. Allow the product to dry
completely before continued use.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not
be placed in household waste. Always dispose of the
product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them
separately from the product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery
Ordinance) to return all used batteries. Disposing of
them in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries that contain hazardous substances are labelled with
this symbol to indicate that disposal in household waste is
forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals in batteries are: Cd
= Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery,
e.g. below the waste icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to local collection points, our
stores or battery retailers.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the
protection of the environment.
