Operation
Do not set up or operate the product under water.
Make sure that the cables hang loosely and are not
stretched too tightly. Failure to heed this warning may
cause the cables to tear.
Do not operate the product if it is still in its packaging.
Lay the product out entirely before connecting it to the
power supply.
Do not hang any objects from the product and do not
cover the product.
The LEDs are neither dimmable nor replaceable.
1. Lay the product out entirely and arrange the cables so that
they lie freely and are not tangled.
2. Loosen the screw on the battery box with a small cross-head
screwdriver and remove the cover.
3. Insert three new AA batteries. We recommend using high
quality batteries. Observe the correct polarity (“+” = positive,
“-“ = negative), as stated on the battery box.
4. Reattach the cover and retighten the screw.
5. Mount the product in a suitable place (e.g. on furniture).
Where necessary use plastic cable ties to secure the product.
6. You can switch the product on/o by the on/o switch on
the battery box (ON = on, OFF = o).
7. Switch the product o and remove the batteries from the
battery box, if you are not using the product for a longer
period of time.
A change of batteries is necessary if the LEDs of the light
chain are no longer coming on.
Maintenance and cleaning
• The product is maintenance-free, except for any change of
batteries and occasional cleaning.
• Switch the product o before cleaning and let the LEDs cool
down suciently.
• To clean, use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt,
slightly dampen the cloth with water. Allow the product to dry
completely before continued use.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not
be disposed of in the household waste. At the end of its
service life, dispose of the product according to the
relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them
separately from the product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery

them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate
that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations
for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the
left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the
protection of the environment.
