The Polaris 280 vacuums, sweeps and scrubs all surfaces randomly throughout the pool.
Approximately every 3 minutes the cleaner goes into back-up mode. This action pulls the
Polarisawayfrompoolobstaclesandincreasesitsrandompattern.
ThrustJetAdjustment
ThethrustjetpowersthedirectionofthePolaris.Factory
positionisstraightback,butdependingonthepool,other
settingsmaybehelpful.
SweepHoseAdjustment
Thesweephoseshouldmoveinagentlesweepingmotion.
Toadjust,turnofftheboosterpumpandturnthesweephose
adjustmentscrew.Turnclockwisetodecreasethemotion.
CleaningtheBag
Removethe bag collar from the feed hose. Twist thebag connector until it disengages with
a clickingsound fromthe feed pipe.Pulloffthefilterbag,openthe closureand dumpout the
debris.Toreinstall,alignmarkingson connector andfeedpipe.Clickconnector intoposition on
pipeandreattachbagcollartohose.
CleaningtheFilters
AlwaysdisconnectthePolarisbeforecleaning
orbackwashingthepoolfilter,andletthe
filtrationsystemrunforatleastfiveminutes
beforereconnectingthecleaner.
Tocleanthein-linefilterscreen,pullit
outofthefilterassembly,rinseitandpressit
firmlybackintoplace
StorageandWinterizing
NeverstorethePolarisindirectsunlight.Whenstoringforthewinter,drainoutallthewater
(freezedamageisnotcoveredunderthewarranty).RemovetheUWFfromthepoolwallby
attachingtheQuickDisconnectandusingpullingpressuretounscrew.Ifnecessary,usethe
UWFRemovalTool(part#10-102-00)availablefromanyauthorizedPolarisdealer.
