Teaching the Polar WearLink W.I.N.D
transmitter to communicate with your
training computer
Your new WearLink W.I.N.D. transmitter must
be introduced to your Polar training computer in
order to measure heart rate. Teaching enables
training in a group without interference from
other transmitters.
The Polar training computer and transmitter in
the product set have already been introduced.
When you start using a new transmitter,
teaching is necessary.
For further information on teaching, see your
Polar training computer's user manual.
Care and Maintenance
The transmitter is a high-tech instrument that
should be handled with care. The following
instructions will help you fulfill guarantee
obligations.
Detach the transmitter connector from the

after every use. Dry the connector with a soft
towel. Never use alcohol or any abrasive
material (steel, wool or cleaning chemicals).
Wash the strap regularly in a washing
machine at 40ºC/104ºF or at lest after every
fifth use. This ensures reliable measurement
and maximizes the life span of the transmitter.
Use a washing pouch. Do not soak, spin-dry,
iron, dry clean or bleach the strap. Do not use
