POISON SPYDER CUSTOMS INST-17-16-030_A • JK BFH™ Disco Skid 2
5. Ensure that the electrical harness is properly
routed and secured. The sway bar disconnect motor
rotation procedure is now complete.
6. Remove the four 1/2” bolts that attach the BFH
bumper to the Jeep’s frame. Do not remove the bumper.
7. Place the Disco Skid below the bumper and reinstall
the 1/2” bolts, washers and lock nuts. They will align with
the two holes on either end of the Disco Skid. Note that
the rearward two holes may be slightly misaligned due
to inaccurate drilling when the BFH bumper was initially
installed. In this case use a small die grinder or rotary
burr bit to widen the hole in the frame to match the one
on the Skid. Note that the forward bolts will sadwich
the bumper between the skid and the frame, while the
rearward bolts will clamp the skid directly to the bottom
of the frame rail.
8. If retrofitting to an earlier production version of the
JK BFH bumper, you will need to drill the two forward,
center holes through the skid into the BFH bumper. Use the
3/8” drill bit and drill motor to drill these holes, using the
holes in the skid itself as your drill guide. Install a 3/8-16
X 1 hex head cap screw, with flat washers and lock nut,
into each of these holes. Orient them with the bolt heads
down, and the nuts up inside the bumper.
9. Tightenallbolts.
Congratulations, you have installed your Poison
Spyder Customs JK BFH Disco Skid!
