Malfunciton Possible Reason Solution
Book opens but
various symbols,
question marks etc.
are displayed instead
of letters
Incorrect encoding
Switch to reading
mode, select Settings
and change encoding
No response when
you press any key
Sometimes (e.g.,
when downloading
damaged or too large
books) the Device
may freeze
Close the frozen
application by
pressing the Return
key for 1–2 sec. If
this doesn’t help,
press Reset on the
rear panel to reload
your device.
After connection
to PC disks are not
displayed in Explorer
Your Device is in
the battery charging
mode.
Check USB mode in
Conguration Main
Menu item. Set
Connection to PC or
Ask at Connection
No signal in
connection cable
Check USB cable
condition and its
proper connection
to connector. Try to
connect the USB-
cable to another port
