Dirty or pressure locked
cartridge (#12).
Turn off the water supply. Remove the
cartridge (#12) and soak in white vinegar
for 4 hours. Every 30 minutes while the
cartridge (#12) is submerged in the
vinegar, rotate the stem on and off 10
times. Be sure the pressure balance
spool is moving freely (located at the
bottom of the cartridge (#12) ).
Reinstall cartridge (#12).
Lock nut (#11) has come loose or
o-ring on cartridge (#12) is dirty or
twisted.
Tighten the lock nut (#11). Clean or
replace o-ring on cartridge (#12).
Remove handle and pressure balance
cartridge (#12) to check the rubber
valve seat. Clean or replace it.
