5. Logging on to the Console
Once the terminal is connected to the device, power on the L3 Managed Switch,
andtheterminalwilldisplay“running testing procedures”.
Note
The following console screen is based on the XGS3-24242. The
display of the XGS3-24042 is the same as that of the XGS3-
24242.
Then, the following message asks for the login user name and password. The
factory default user name and password are as follows as the login screen in
Figure5-1appears.
Username:admin
Password:admin

The user can now enter commands to manage the Switch. For a detailed
descriptionofthecommands,pleaserefertothefollowingchapters.

1.Forsecurityreason,pleasechangeandmemorizethenewpass-
wordafterthisfirstsetup.
2.Only accept command in lowercase letter under console inter-
face.
