Configuration of SwitchA:

SwitchA(config)#interface vlan 1

SwitchA (Config-if-Vlan1)# ip address 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0

60.4 VRRP Troubleshooting

In configuring and using VRRP protocol, the VRRP protocol may fail to run properl

y due to reasons such as physical connection failure or wrong configurations. The user

should ensure the following:

 Good condition of the physical connection.

 All interface and link protocols are in the UP state (use “show interface” comman

d).

 Ensure VRRP is enabled on the interface. Verify the authentication mode of differe

nt routers (or L3 Ethernet switches) in the same standby cluster are the same.

 Verify the timer time of different routers (or L3 Ethernet switches) in the same stan
