66.3 Typical Examples of RSPAN
Before RSPAN is invented, network administrators had to connect their PCs directly
to the switches, in order to check the statistics of the network.
However, with the help of RSPAN, the network administrators can configure and su
pervise the switches remotely, which brings more efficiency. The figure below shows a
sample application of RSPAN.
