Configures a static ARP entry; the no

command deletes a static ARP entry.

31.3.3 ARP Troubleshooting

If ping from the switch to directly connected network devices fails, the following can be

used to check the possible cause and create a solution.

 Check whether the corresponding ARP has been learned by the switch.

 If ARP has not been learned, then enabled ARP debugging information and view the

sending/receiving condition of ARP packets.

 Defective cable is a common cause of ARP problems and may disable ARP

learning.
