A.2 Console Port

The console port uses a DB-9 RS-232 connector. The supplied straight-through RS-232 cable con-

nects the console port of VIP to a console PC or terminal. Pinout for the port is described in the fol-

lowing table.

A.3 LAN Port

The 10/100 LAN port use standard RJ-45 connector and Ethernet pinouts. The following diagram

and table show the pinout on the port connector. When connecting the LAN port to switches or re-

peaters, you must use a straight-through cable.
