PLANETQSFP-40GseriesconsistsofQuadSmallFormFactorPluggable(QSFP)
transceivermodulesthatarespecificallydesignedforhigh-performanceintegrated
duplexdatalinkoversinglemodeopticalfiber.Thesetransceivermodulesare
compliantwiththeQSFPMultisourceAgreement(MSA)andhotpluggable.These
modulesofferaneasywaytobeinstalledinQSFPMSAcompliantportsatany
timewithouttheinterruptionofthehostequipmentoperation.
TheQSFP-40GseriesalsosupportsSFP-DDM(DigitalDiagnosticMonitor)function
thatgreatlyhelpsnetworkadministratortoeasilymonitorreal-timeparametersof
theSFP,suchasopticaloutputpower,opticalinputpower,temperature,laserbias
current,andtransceiversupplyvoltage.
TheQSFP-40GseriesoftheQSFP+EthernetmodulecanbeinstalledinPLANETswitchproductswith40GBASE-SR4/LR4QSFP+interface.The
deploymentdistancecanbeextendedfrom100meters(multi-mode,MPO)upto10kilometers(single-mode,LC).TheQSFP+transceiversarehot-
pluggableandhot-swappable.Youcanpluginandpulloutthetransceiversto/fromanyQSFP+portwithouthavingtopowerofftheswitch.
