8-Port 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet Switch

Energy-saving and Gigabit High-performance Networking Solution

PLANET GSD-805 8-Port 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet Switch is a

green networking solution in line with the energy-saving trend worldwide, but it

comes with Gigabit wire-speed performance. Its compact metal housing makes

the deployment of Gigabit networks easy for homes, SOHOs and SMBs that

are space limited. The operating switch is noiseless as it has a fanless feature.

Its internal power supply can be directly plugged into an electrical outlet without

having to use a power adapter.

VLAN Isolation

The GSD-805 is equipped with the VLAN Isolation feature. When switching the

DIP to the “Enable” position, ports 1 to 7 are not able to communicate with one

another. This helps to prevent the IP camera’s multicast or broadcast storm from

inuencing one another.

Saving Power by 40%

The GSD-805, incorporating two advanced Green Networking technologies, is able

to save power by up to 40% but maintains high performance efciently.

(1) Hibernation Link Down Power Saving

The Hibernation Link Down Power Saving goes beyond IEEE specifications

to automatically lower the power supply for a given port when it is not linked.

With the Hibernation Link Down Power Saving technology, the GSD-805 will

automatically adjust power usage of the ports that are shut down or not connected

to a network device.
