2. Requirements
z Workstations running Windows 10/XP/2003/Vista/7/8/2008, MAC OS X or later,
Linux,UNIX,orotherplatformsarecompatiblewithTCP/IPprotocols.
z Serial Port Connection (Terminal)
The above Workstations come with RS232 COM Port(DB9) orUSB-to-RS232
converter.
TheaboveWorkstationshavebeeninstalledwith terminal emulator, suchas
HyperTerminalincludedinWindowsXP/2003.
Serial cable -- one end is attached to the RS232 serial port, while the other
endtotheconsoleportoftheManagedPoESwitch.
z Ethernet Port Connection
WorkstationsareinstalledwithEthernetNIC(NetworkInterfaceCard)
Networkcables--Usestandardnetwork(UTP)cableswithRJ45connectors.
TheabovePCisinstalledwithWeb browser.
Note
It is recommended to use Internet Explorer 8.0 or aboveto access
the Managed PoE Switch. If the Web interface of the Managed PoE
Switch is not accessible, please turn off the anti-virus software or
firewallandthentryitagain.
2.1 Power Requirements
The GS-6322-24P4X is designed with two modular power supply slots. It can work
with three optional 920W/1200W/2000W AC power supplies. The nal package of
switch and powersupplies will depend on your purchase. It doesn’tinstall a power
supply by default. Please contact your local distributor or retailer for conrming
your purchase package.
