2. Requirements
z Workstations running Windows XP/2003/2008/Vista/7/8/10, MAC OS X or later,
Linux,UNIX,orotherplatformsarecompatiblewithTCP/IPprotocols.
z WorkstationsareinstalledwithEthernetNIC(NetworkInterfaceCard).
z Serial Port Connection (Terminal)
 The above workstations come with COM port (DB9) or USB-to-RS232
converter.
 The aboveworkstationshavebeen installedwith terminal emulator,such as
TeraTerm,PuTTYorHyperTerminalincludedinWindowsXP/2003.
 Serial cable -- one end is attached to the RS232 serial port, while the other
endtotheconsoleportoftheL3ManagedSwitch.
z Ethernet Port Connection
 Networkcables--Usestandardnetwork(UTP)cableswithRJ45connectors.
 TheabovePCisinstalledwithWebbrowser.
Note
It is recommended to use Internet Explorer 8.0 or aboveto access
the L3 Managed Switch. If the Web interface of the L3 Managed
Switch is not accessible, please turn off the anti-virus software or
firewallandthentryitagain.
