3.2 ConguringIPAddressviatheConsole
The Managed Switch is shipped with default IP address as shown
below:
IPAddress:192.168.0.100
SubnetMask:255.255.255.0
To check the current IP address or modify a new IP address for the
ManagedSwitch,please usetheproceduresasfollows:
 Display of the current IP address
1. On “GS-4210-24T4S#”prompt,enter“show ip”.
2.The screen displays the current IP address, subnet mask and
gatewayshowninFigure3-4.

3. On “GS-4210-24T4S#”prompt,enter“congure”.
4. On “GS-4210-24T4S (cong)#” prompt, enter the following
commandandpress<Enter>asshowninFigure3-5.

255.255.255.0
GS-4210-24T4S(cong)#ip default-gateway 192.168.1.254
