TheGSLsolenoidassemblycontainstwosub-assemblies,the
solenoidvalveandthesolenoidmanifold.Removalofthesolenoid
valveisrequiredtoaccessthesolenoidmanifoldforservicing.The
solenoidvalveitself
(SEEFIGURE25A)
isanon-serviceableitem.Any
attempttostriporservicethesolenoidvalvewillimmediatelyvoid
theGSLwarranty.IfyouexperienceanyissuewiththeGSLsolenoid
valvethenpleasecontactyourEclipseServiceCentre.Seepage66
forEclipseServiceCentredetails.
WiththeframeseparatedfromtheGSLbodyandthesolenoidand
BBSSwiresunpluggedfromthecircuitboard(seepage51)use
a5/64”hexkeytoundoandremovethetwoscrewsthatholdthe
solenoidassemblyontotheGSLbody
(SEEFIGURE25B)

Firstlyremovethesolenoidvalvefromthebody,thiswillexpose
thesolenoidmanifoldwhichsitspartiallyinsidetheGSLbody
(SEE
FIGURE25C)
.
CarefullypullthesolenoidmanifoldoutfromtheGSLbody,exposing
thegastransferholeswhichleadtotheboltassembly
(SEEFIGURE
25D)
.Thesolenoidgasketmaystillbeattachedtothebody,ifthis
isthecase,carefullypeelthegasketoffthebodyandplacetoone
side.
WiththesolenoidassemblycompletelyremovedfromtheGSLbody,
thebottomoftheGSLbodyshouldnowresemble

thattheairtransferholesinthebottomofthebodyarefreefrom
contaminationfromanydirt,debris,paintormoistureandclearaway
anyexcessgreaseifitappearstobeblockinganyofthetransfer
holes.
