DWELL
THE DWELL PARAMETER
The DWELL parameter sets the amount of
time that the solenoid is energized and
therefore the amount of gas that is released
with each shot of the Geo2. Setting this
parameter too low will result in low velocity
shots and/or excessive shot to shot velocity
uctuations. Setting the parameter too
high will simply waste gas and make the
Geo2 louder. The DWELL can be set between
0.0 and 25.0 milliseconds. The factory default setting can
normally be reduced after a few thousand shots as the
Geo2 ‘beds-in’.
FSD COMP
THE FIRST SHOT DROPOFF
COMPENSATION PARAMETER
First shot drop o is a reduction in velocity
of the rst shot red after an extended
period of not ring and is caused by the
stiction between dynamic o-rings and the
surfaces that they are in contact with. In
order to compensate for rst shot drop-o
this parameter can be set to add extra
time to the DWELL parameter for the rst
shot. This parameter can be set between 0.0 and 5.0
milliseconds.
FSD DLY
THE FIRST SHOT DROPOFF DELAY
PARAMETER
The time that has to elapse before the
FDS COMP is applied to a shot following a
previous shot. This parameter can be set
between 00:00 and 04:00 minutes.
FILTER
THE FILTER MENU
The parameters on the FILTER menu are all used to tune the
Geo2’s software lters which prevent the Geo2 from ring
unless all of the necessary conditions are met. The factory
default settings will be suitable for most set-ups, however
certain loader and trigger set-ups may require modication
of one or more of these parameters.
