Next unscrew the bolt guide from the valve assembly
(See fiGure 17i). Clean the bolt guide, removing
any old grease, debris or paint from the front, narrow
stem section
(See fiGure 17j) and the exhaust
port inside the bolt guide
(See fiGure 17k). Clean
and inspect the rear bolt bumper
(See fiGure
17L)
for damage or excessive wear, reverse or replace
as necessary.
The valve itself contains four components, the valve
body, the firing poppet, the poppet spring and the valve
joiner.
Start by unscrewing the valve joiner from the valve
body, gripping the flats on the side of the threads
(See fiGure 17M). When unscrewed, slide the
valve joiner and firing poppet out of the valve body
(See fiGure 17n). Remove the poppet spring
and place to one side. With the valve joiner and firing
poppet removed from the valve body, push the firing
poppet out the back of the valve joiner

Take the firing poppet and clean and inspect the metal
shaft and o-rings with a cotton bud or soft cloth,
removing any old grease or debris
(See fiGure
17p)
. Replace any damaged components on the firing
poppet.
DE-GAS YOUR MARKER, DISCHARGING ANY
STORED GAS IN A SAFE DIRECTION, AND REMOVE
THE BARREL, LOADER, AIR SYSTEM AND ANY
PAINTBALLS TO MAKE THE MARKER EASIER AND
SAFER TO WORK ON.
