SYMPTOM
POSSIBLE
CAUSE
Although a fresh battery has been fitted, the
Etha will not switch on.
The battery does not seem to last very long.
The Etha leaks from the solenoid and/or
manifold.
The Etha leaks down the barrel.
Gas vents quickly down barrel as soon as
the marker is gassed up.
Very poor efficiency.
Low velocity.
The battery terminals are not making proper
contact with the battery.
The fly lead to the Etha PCB is damaged.
The battery type is of a low quality.
An o-ring gasket is damaged and/or not seated
correctly in the manifold.
The solenoid valve is not secure on the manifold.
Dirty / damaged o-ring on middle of firing
poppet.
Dirty / damaged middle valve body o-ring.
Dirty / damaged middle valve joiner o-ring.
The output pressure from the inline regulator is
too high, triggering the solenoid valve built-in
pressure relief valve.
Damaged solenoid valve.
Dirty / damaged firing poppet assembly.
Dirty / damaged bolt guide exhaust port.
Dirty / damaged valve body front o-rings.
Incorrect / damaged o-ring on front of firing
poppet.
The internal o-ring on the valve joiner is too
small or damaged.
The Dwell parameter is set too low.
Poor barrel bore to paintball size match.
Remove the battery, inspect the terminals for
damage or debris and then replace the battery.
Replace the Etha PCB.
Use an fresh 9V alkaline or lithium battery. Do
not use a low quality or rechargeable battery.
Replace the gasket if damaged using Etha
parts kit. Ensure the gasket is seated correctly.
Check the solenoid is secure on the manifold.
Clean / replace front o-ring with a new 010
NBR70 o-ring.
Clean / replace with a new 020 NBR70 o-ring.
Clean / replace with a new 014 NBR70 o-ring.
Lower the output pressure of the inline
regulator.
Replace Etha solenoid valve.
Clean / replace firing poppet and front 010
NBR70 o-ring.
Clean / replace bolt guide.
Clean / replace 017 NBR70 and 020 NBR
70 o-rings.
Replace front o-ring with a new 009 NBR70
o-ring.
Replace o-ring with a new 012 NBR70 o-ring.
Increase Dwell parameter.
Use a barrel bore and paintball size that
match.
