4. Before the first use
BEFORE YOU START OPERATING THE APPLIANCE, CHECK THAT
1. the appliance is positioned and levelled properly.
2. the inlet valve is opened.
3. the connections of the hoses do not leak.
4. the appliance is plugged in properly.
5. the power is switched on.
6. the hoses are not knotted.
7. you have removed the complete packaging material.
BEFORE YOU OPERATE THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME:
a) set the water softener consumption (s. chapter 4.1.3 SETTING OF THE WATER
SOFTENER CONSUMPTION.
b) pour 500 ml water into the container of the water softener and pour in the water
softener (= dishwasher salt); s. chapter 4.1.1 FILLING OF THE WATER SOFTENER
CONTAINER et seq.
c) pour in the rinse aid (s. chapter 4.2.1 FILLING OF THE RINSE AID CONTAINER).
d) use suitable dishwasher detergent (s. chapter 4.3 DISHWASHER DETERGENT et
seq.).
4.1 Water softener (= dishwasher salt)
NOTICE! Use a water softener (= dishwasher salt) which is suitable for
dishwashers only. Other water softeners and salts, especially table salt,
will damage the water softener container.
NOTICE! Whenever you fill water softener into the dedicated container,
water will escape which contains dissolved salt. This water as well as not
dissolved salt particles will cause corrosion. When refilling water softener,
you always must initiate a complete cleaning programme immediately
after. RISK OF CORROSION! Any damage caused by corrosion is not
covered by the guarantee.
NOTICE! Water softener (dishwasher salt) causes corrosion unless you
activate a cleaning programme immediately after the filling of the
dedicated container. Corrosion can damage the appliance beyond repair!
The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by corrosion
due to improper operation. RISK OF CORROSION!
