3. For your personal safety, the appliance must be grounded. The appliance is
equipped with a 3-pole grounding plug. Use a suitable socket to minimize the risk
of an electric shock.
4. The appliance must not stand on the power cord.
5. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid any kind of hazard.
6. Check if the technical data of your energy supply meet the values on the
nameplate.
7. Do not modify the appliance.
8. Do not attempt to repair the appliance alone. Repairs carried out by unauthorized
persons can cause serious damage. Always contact the nearest service centre and
use original spare parts only.
9. Your domestic circuit must be equipped with an automatic circuit breaker.

6.1 Meaning of the *-labelling of freezers
1- (*), 2- (**), and 3-stars (***) freezers are not suitable for freezing fresh
food.
2-stars (**) and 3-stars (***) freezers are suitable for storing frozen food (pre-
frozen) and ice or for making ice and ice cubes.
