This process involves draining the vat of oil and filling with water. Cleaning solution is added, and the control is set to boil by one of the following methods: 1.7.1 Automatic Boil Entry (Water Detection): Fill the appliance with water and turn the appliance on. Heat will be applied to the vat warming the water.

The top-off system is not intended for the refilling of an empty vat. To add fresh oil to the vat on-demand, press and hold the key. Release the Top-Off key when oil has reached an optimal level.
